For many a. . .well, for the second time now, we adhere to strict Powerpopulist tradition and celebrate this hallowed eve with this heady little caveat from {thunderegg}. Until things improve, I see no reason to stop. Maybe next spring I'll actually be able to reuse it at Easter. This past Easter a rare snowstorm temporarily wiped out my Internet service, leaving the kids of the world almost totally at the mercy of more sinister forces.

Thrusting and Bursting with Aggressive Kantian Positivism
No curtains this time; we'll use a thrust. Thanks for visiting during Year One; I hope you'll do so some more. We begin with guidance from the same Voice who initiated proceedings here one year ago today and then branch out.
Pill Gone Girl mp3
A.C. Newman - Miracle Drug mp3 - No, this isn't a theme post; it just kind of happened.
The Prix - St. Domino mp3
Manu Chao - Rainin in Paradize mp3
The next four I found at the site of the generous soul who more than any other, helped me get started on this blog and gave unselfish support all through the first year. It goes without saying that the music-loving Dane also put me--as he does myriad others--in touch with fabulous tuneage. Thanks, Morten, now and always. And don't worry, folks, these are but a few sparks from the powerful music machine that is Hits in the Car.
Ruined by Martin – Kaiser Star mp3
The Monday Photo – Fall mp3
Mary Goes Round - Mary's Yellow Dreams mp3 - From Morten's latest Endless Post--This list must be seen--and heard--to be believed.
Soft City – The Soft City mp3 - Reminds one of The Dream Syndicate/Steve Wynn. OMG, did I just do an analogy? Don't worry, it won't happen again.

Lay, Lady Lay. . .: High Water Marks, Trolleyvox, Green Pajamas, Quarter After, Masonic, West Indian Girl, 1900s, Tulsa
. . .lay across my big brass blog. . . Yes, yes, I know, that's the first album, but I like this picture better, mkay?
Mind if I. . .lay a little music on you? Thanks very.
High Water Marks - The Leaves mp3 - I just now downloaded the new album, Polar, sight-unheard over at eMusic. "Sight-unheard [gasp, spit]? Are you crazy???" Maybe, but not in this case. I fell for 2004's Songs About the Ocean like sixteen tons. Its "Good I Feel Bad" delivers incandescent pleasure every listen, and "Queen of Verlaine" does some effective fancy-tickling as well. Anyway, that's enough emotin'.
Good I Feel Bad mp3
The Trolleyvox - Much have I loved these Brotherly Lovers, as seen here. This new effort but fans the flames.
Your Secret Safe
I Call On You mp3
Jean Jacket mp3
The Green Pajamas - Wild Pony mp3 - from Box Of Secrets... - I said it before and I just might again: These Norwesters know how to dress for success.
The Night Races Into Anna
The Night Races Into Anna
She Turns Me On wma
Masonic - from Austin!
Tulsa - Mass mp3 - I Was Submerged - Thanks to Pirate Brook, who, along with Pirate Meredith, has put together a fab little mix tape you might want to check out.
Not that anyone would get jealous (it'd be pathetic if they did), but just because I didn't say more doesn't mean I don't like every single song posted here because I very much do.

Duys & Golls: Looker, Love of Diagrams, School, Girl Band, Manchester Orchestra, April Skies, Airfields, Celestial
Beyond the terrestrial. . .
Never, ever accuse me of not being in touch with my inner wuss (or I'll weep), and this post proves it. Kind of a staff/distaff thing, too, though not necessarily in that order. The hardest-hitting song is by Girl Band, if that tells you anything. Bon weak-end, valued visitors.
