R.I.P. Scott Miller of Game Theory, the Loud Family

We are saddened to learn of the death of Scott Miller, frontman of long-time favebands Game Theory and the Loud Family. If you like any of the songs posted above, you will have an inkling why, particularly considering a new Game Theory LP was being planned. Six Game Theory LPs are available for free download at the Loud Family website. The stated rationale for this generous offer captures in part the spirit of this incredibly gifted man:

"My main goal is to prevent people from trying to capitalize by selling these long out of print albums for lots of money. I want everybody who would like to hear these albums to be able to do so without paying outrageous prices."

Oh man. I still remember the first time I heard Game Theory's "I've Tried Subtlety": on one of your PPIAE compilations. Been a while. -- Tisha

Glad you remember that, too, Anonymous Teesh. I'm thrilled to have a clean mp3 of it at last. For a while now I've had an inferior-quality one I'd have to turn up loud(er) to hear; if I wasn't near the volume control, the next song would shred the speakers. Wonderful to hear from you, wonderful person.

I wondered if you saw this sad news. I have been consoling myself with Game Theory records. - Chad

I certainly thought of you, Chad, and other friends who had enjoyed Game Theory together. You chose the perfect form of consolation.
