The Acorn

At their MySpace site, Ottawa’s The Acorn classify their music as “Indie, Folk Rock, Grindcore.” So far I hear two of these and am searching reluctantly for the third. Further, they say they sound like “a small bird giving sweet birth to another, larger bird of a different make and model (or brand).” This will be only too obvious as you listen to the songs below. You can find a bunch of others at the Kelp Records website and one more at the MySpace site. Oh, and in case you were worrying about it, they assure us “We are getting our Garifuna on.” I sleep better.
