hey nice blog! i'm impressed. thanks for posting the smithereens. luv them since the 80's. they did a cover of 'something stupid' with marti jones. they also had a duet w/ suzzane vega called 'in a lonely place' from the album especially for you. and also did you know that oasis rip-offed the smithereens' blood and roses with their song supersonic? it's true! even the smithereens' lead singer knew this. he called called oasis 'thieves'.

Thank you. Yes, I've loved them since first hearing "Behind the Wall of Sleep" one cold Sunday afternoon back in '86. Thanks for the additional information. I'll go back and listen more closely to "In a Lonely Place," as I love Suzanne Vega as well. As for the Oasis bit...yet another reason they're not one of my favorite bands (no offense to those who do like them).
